The M S University - On The Globe

"The M. S. University of Baroda" is not a new name for many of us in INDIA. And I also heard that it had a big name across the globe too. Well that is all about the Past and i think today most of us are living in Present, so let us just think of The MSU's place on the Globe. Well, many of us will think that it has not a big image on the Globe but with the international projects going smoothly with The MSU - we really need to think about the significance contribution of the same to the world. One such project is "Global Understanding Project" of East Carolina University of North Carolina, U.S.A. - under which a "Global Virtual Classroom" has been set at the Computer Centre of The M.S.University of Baroda and the students of The Faculty of Journalism and Communication are the first ones with the first phase of this project. This project about having a communication with people of different countries of the Globe - who are mostly students of different disciplines. Under this project - students of The Faculty of Journalism and Communication have linked with countries like Czech Republic, Peru, U.S.A. and The Gambia. The medium used for the project is the one of the biggest boon of 20th century - INTERNET. Students of different countries communicate with eachother via video conferencing and chatting.

Now it s the time of ending the semester, so our this project is also going towards it s end. We are going to have a Closing Ceremony the for the same on coming 19th of April, 2006. This is just an end of it s first phase. and it will mostly continue for many many coming years.

Well I am sure now one cant say there The M. S. University of Baroda - Our Beloved "MSU" - is not seen on the Globe !!!
